Re: Show us your pedalboard

Mudhoney is a Rat with 3 parts changed that make it sound very much not like a Rat. If you put the boost on, that’s almost exactly the Rat circuit. Boost off it’s closer to Tubscreamer. It’s also buffered. The reason why you’d say it’s a rat is that it uses a single Opamp with a dual rc network, ha...

Re: Mr Glyn Minx mini-hums

That would be wicked, I’ll have a quick look into it, and let you know, have you tried them yourself though? Yep. Had them in my duesenberg for a while. They sound great. Great p-90 sounds, with a bit of top end shimmer which makes them really suit clean tones. Oh, too shimmery for drive? I don’t r...

Re: Mr Glyn Minx mini-hums

I’m similarly curious about his blacksand hb sized p90s but I find pickup demos completely useless to listen too on the web… I have a set of these that I’m not using if you’d like to give them a try. I’m GASsing for a Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret (mk1) for some reason. I wouldn’t say no to an SFT either.

I reckon these sound ace.
I bought one upon your recommendation :D
Years ago now, the model that came after the toilet styled one
That’s the correct choice. The toilet style ones are stupid

Duct tape, dear boy, duct tape. Or remove the knob altogether and mark the shaft.
The second thing is what I’ve been doing.
Of course. You're an intelligent man. I've always said this. :D
Not intelligent enough to make a hotcake work for me…

Take it off, replace it with a smaller knob?
Yep- that’s a good fix

Re: Show us your pedalboard

IMG_2117.jpeg I keep coming back to this combo for my gigging board. The Silverpistol fuzz and boost are perfect, and the cheap xvive delay does the job nicely for the odd bit of slap echo (only complaint is that the time knob is super easy to bump off the optimum setting so I have to reset it ever...

Re: Cable recommendations

Thanks folks. My EB cables have been OK, but the braided outer on one of them melted in a few places at an outdoor gig. I had a couple of EWI cables from Music Planet for a while that were fine- but one of them failed completely last night. The jack housing is pretty rubbish- the jack itself wiggles...
