Re: MI Audio Revelation

High gain mode on channel 4 is great for all out brutality! Especially with no negative feedback (which is another switch this thing comes with) and playing my Ibanez with the S.D Blackouts. The versatility of this amp was a deciding factor for me and it really delivers. Next purchase for me will b...

Re: MI Audio Revelation

Wow, great , thanks for posting that! Micheal says in his post (further down the page) that the Channel 4 high gain stuff didn't come out very well, i bet it's crushing in real life. I loved those channel 2 and 3 vintage high gain sounds - massive! What a huge variety of sounds - sounds like a real ...

Re: MI Audio Revelation

Re: Singer needs help.

...I'm a bit torn on this but here goes... First, the good news/the positive spin: Anyone can be a rock singer. You don't have to be Freddie Mercury anymore to front a band. You don't even need any lessons, you can just start doing it if you can find some people who like what you do or are as inexpe...

Re: Acoustic amp

Keep an eye out for an AER - these come up on TM occasionally and are the rolls royce of acoustic amps - PLUS you can run vocals through them as well (at the same time). I've seen a few compact 60s and a big four channel one they do as well. There might be one right now, just search for AER.

Re: Yet another amp recommendation...

The Markbass stuff is awesome if money is not a problem (They're expensive).
Gallien Kruger do a nice wedge style amp too, which is small enouhg to carry with one hand.

Re: Good versatile pickups for an Explorer?

Scarecrow, a JB will be similar sounding (just "better") to your Gibson stock pups dude. For your application, I'd say you want to go down in the output stakes. It's nothing to be afraid of - the lower the output, the sweeter the tone. P90s are awesome, as are minihumbuckers, or maybe some...

Re: Triamp Help please

Well - that could be a factor... Maybe it's just my Effects pedals crying because the effects loop doesn't love it as much as it could.... Great post though... Full of great insight... But seriously - Do you really feel happy about mocking someones band and music on here when all they're asking for...

Oh man I laughed hard at that pic of Dimebag shredding while the towers burn and the eagle cries and a huge pot leaf illuminates the scene. I mean come on, how awesome is that?! I want that for my email signature I think.

Re: Trade-me Madness

The "Used" filter is awesome but plenty of people peddling sh*t that no one wants are saying things are used and then listing them as new (which they are) in the title. I am tempted to just click buy now on a bunch of them and never email them but of course that would require me to sacrifi...

Re: Line6 Floor Pod

BG is right about the Floor Pod, it's an outdated piece of sh*t. Denden, the consensus is that the Vox modellers are better if you like Voxes and Fenders, and the Line6 stuff is for those who like Marshalls, Mesas and more. So obviously the Line6 would be better for you. I'd keep an eye out and get ...

Re: G-TARanaki first international guitar festival

Kara Gordon's a virtuoso? More like an average covers band guitarist who leaves a trail of annoyed musicians in his wake, all of whom vow never to work with him again.
