Re: Boss Waza Air
Guess I'll have a happy neighbor in March. The is the one of the few gears you can't hear it on YouTube Watch this clip from around the 12min mark with headphones and close your eyes. They use a stereo mic system into each headphones to replicate the '360 audio' effect. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Neural DSP Quad Cortex
Love the addition of wifi and being able to edit via phone app but as with most high end modellers, it looks overkill and expensive.

Re: NGD Fender Vintera 50s Strat
First few days have been a blast. V neck feels great, as does the radius. it's completely alien to what I'm used to, I've had compound radius in the past, as well as my current Kiesel 20" which is super, super flat.
Still awaiting the new amp, fingers crossed it arrives today.

Re: NGD Fender Vintera 50s Strat
I'm a decade too old to 'djent' tbh, my metal roots are very early/mid 2000s. Plus yeah I don't think I can play anything non metal either hahah so this will be a nice wee guitar to learn a few new things on!

NGD Fender Vintera 50s Strat
Well the metal band is no more so I figured I'd settle down in my old age and get something a bit more sensible  Main things I wanted was something vintage and in sea foam green so I was stoked with the Vintera 50s strat was announced earlier this year. MIM Alder body, maple neck. Soft V neck p...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Yeah I'm facinated to see how it feels. My 87 strat had vintage antiquity Seymour duncans in there, but a 'full vintage' spec guitar should be really fun and interesting to play. Well for me anyway, as an ignorant metal dude haha.

Currently waiting for a Fender Vintera 50's Strat to be well...built! All pre paid for, but the first lot are due to be built in mexico this month and should be in NZ in September. Ordered the Sea Foam Green one. https://shop.fender.com/en/intl/electric-guitars/stratocaster/vintera-50s-stratocaster/...

Re: Crazy to spend $6k on a Tele?
Yup that's fair. And hey I currently own a USA built semi-custom, so I can 100% appreciate the want and need for high quality. I love the guitar that I have, but I also have a MIM Fender on its way which I'm genuinely excited to own.

Re: Crazy to spend $6k on a Tele?
I guess personal finances and lifestyle would determine the context. I can't justify $6k on a tele, much like I can't justify $6k on a watch or a TV. Tele's to me are a 'workhorse' style of guitar, as a playing/gigging guitar it wouldn't be a wise choice for me. As an investment? Sure, but is it a w...

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!
100% keen on getting this. All about the tiny form factor as of late (hence the GE200) and I've always felt more comfortable with M series of effects. Never went onto Helix as again, form factor was priority #1 from then on in and tbh the axe fx 2 user interface turned me off digital stuff for a lon...

oh damn, sorry didn't realise it was a repost, feel free to merge or delete this one
(no doubt a super fan would kill for one of these, but surely spending $400 on your own frankenstrat would be way more fun!I bumblebee'd the crap out of a BC Rich a few years ago and had a blast)

Re: Horror Stories
Not really a 'repair' story but was enough of a horror story as I have had.
I did have an Auckland luthier go radio silent for two weeks when I attempted to pick up a straight forward setup job. They had gone on tour, apparently, and had forgotten to tell their clients. Thanks....
