Re: Mesa Boogie Mk VII
I know this is becoming more common but why not just use an overdrive or boost pedal? Different sounds. If you like the way your amp breaks up, it's pretty hard for a pedal to replicate it. May I introduce you to our lord and saviour, the transparent overdrive  Always On Gang, yeeyuh

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX
Frankly they’d be hard pressed to sell them. They’d have to price them with a margin plus GST. So US$399 would become more like the NZ$ equivalent of US$550+. But you can buy them direct from IKM, shipping takes 1-2 weeks, my shipping cost something like US$45 and no GST The Rockshop would sell the...

Superkewl! She cute!
Is it really just the pedal in amp form? I don't mean that as a bad thing, considering how absurdly good the pedal is.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
Suggestions for a "cheapish" bass I can use to record stuff at home? Budget around a grand. Initially thinking along the lines of a Squier. Something half-decent, holds tune OK, won't fall apart and sounds passable in a mix. I had a warwick rockbass corvette, they crop up secondhand from ...

Re: Recommend me a reverse guitar pedal.
+1 the Boss DD range do this much better than Flashback.
If you want it perfectly in time you need to tap tempo or locked in, and get used to playing notes that you don't hear for a bit (can be very off-putting).
