It's funny that people would assume the low F# is easily used as a crutch for a chug-fest. Amusingly I use it for clean, often finger picked sections far more than I do in any distorted contexts. Even then I generally only use it percussively and rarely.

Me missus is playing there as part of Bretts New Internationals, a 1920s jazz orchestra on sax and clarinet. If anyone goes along be sure to check them out, they're pretty radtastic. Good swingin' shit...
