Yep, cab is from Weber as well. I am happy with the electronics but still somewhat wood work challenged...Cdog wrote:Tidy work man... did you buy the cab?

Re: Marshall 18 Watt TMB
Update, I've added a LarMar PPIMV to try and tame the volume. Still crazy loud unless I turn the PPIMV right down but then it doesn't sound so great. Still might add a VVR for just the PI and PA but that will be a bit of a pain to add to the layout. Received the head cabinet today as well. Looks gre...

Re: Marshall 18 Watt TMB
Thanks guys. BG - already got a new pilot light ready and waiting, not an LED though, old style incadescent with a cover. AR - total cost $700 odd, there are a few AC15/30 type kits about, check out the trinity TC15. I'm actually considering marrying the pre from an AC30/6 TB to an 18 Watt power amp...

Marshall 18 Watt TMB
Finished off my Marshall 18 Watt TMB during the week, only got to fire it up in anger this weekend - crazy loud for 18 Watts - seems louder than my Mesa .22 which is well known for punching above it's weight. Only problem was a bit of hum on the TMB channel at first - suprised me as I was careful wi...

BMP built on the tonepad PCB will easily fit in a Hammond 1590B sized box:

I'm chuffed someone recognised the riff through my shitty playing!sty wrote: The way it was described I thought that sounded a bit like the effect Schenker used to get with two Wah pedals, bought a smile to my face when I listened to the clips and he's using a classic UFO riff as the demo.

Re: show us your home made pedals
Thanks Rocky, the BMP etch was a bit messy but came out pretty cool. I also built a Calrinot, went WTF and gave it to a friend - no use for that in classic rock and metal!

Re: Determining Pot Type
Your pots are fine - the instructions above are wrong, you must measure between one of the outer lugs and the middle lug, measuring between the two outer lugs will always give you the maximum resistance of the pot. Sounds like you have your meter set to too lower range hence the reading of "1&q...

Re: show us your home made pedals
Just finished this one, a clone of a Voodoo labs Sparkledrive (basically a tube screamer with a blendable clean boost). I had wanted to use cream knobs for a classier look but the ones I've got are too big. ANyways here it is: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh126/roballey/Effects/Sparkledrive/Sp...

Re: show us your home made pedals
intially built it with an LPB in front removed that and added a clean blend instead. Can you link us up with schematics for these mods? No schematic for the mods per say. LPB was just a bog standard LPB ( http://aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/DRAGONFLY-LAYOUTS_0/album14/album143/EH+LPB1+VERO+2.G...
