A good example of good mastering with rock is Tool's 'Undertow' - it comes off as too quiet at first but when you turn it up it comes to life wickedly, unlike most modern rock which is super loud out the gate and simply cant get any louder...

Ive recently developed a taste for 'Ratpack' era tunes and sound - heres a rendition of King of the Road we played last Friday - our 1st time playing it so a bit rough n ready

ah ok - lol. Yes, Open G on this - I actually prefer Open A but too often get issues with string snappage!

This was my first live use of both the reso gat and slide from last week - pretty basic playing (I wasn't game to try anything fancy lol) but I was fairly happy with the sound none-the-less...
