What sort of scenarios do you guys use an octave pedal for?

On guitar I've used it for weird high pitched sounds or adding some low end to fatten up my toan, but interested to hear why you use one on bass

So apparently the Monoprice 5W is the same amp under a different name, its all surface mount bullshit but I have seen people who have added a NFB pot wired to the pads where the NFB resistor is... Depends on the neck, some of the 22s I've seen just have a longer fretboard that overhangs the pickguard so they should work without requiring any intonation changes, 24 fret necks though is not a simple change sadly.

Picked myself up a Sterling Sub Ray 4 today, in lovely sea foam green, will get pics tomorrow when the light is better, neck feels really nice with the satin finish, just like the higher end EB guitars I’ve played… just need to drop the action a touch and she’ll be a runner!

Got a 5751 coming from Conway @ Tone Lounge, going to put it in my Laney Cub 8, hopefully get a bit more clean headroom out of it so it sits nicer with the AC10 in stereo :-) 5751's all the way for me, and thanks to MikeC, I have a few to tide me over. Not sure if you'll see much difference in head...
