If you’re not using a fender harmonic tremolo you’re just playing with sparkling volume modulation.

Amp sounds awesome btw :-)

Could be a bunch of things, loose 9V connector shorting out on the PCB or case, maybe something from the board grounding against the case, capacitors can cause issues like this, I'd be tempted to take the back off and power it on and tap around the place with a chopstick or something similar and se...

Could be a bunch of things, loose 9V connector shorting out on the PCB or case, maybe something from the board grounding against the case, capacitors can cause issues like this, I'd be tempted to take the back off and power it on and tap around the place with a chopstick or something similar and see...

5881 is just a mil spec 6L6 isn't it, but lower wattage... so going to 6L6s should give you more clean headroom and volume, rahhh! Every time I read the literature about biasing amps it gives me a brain ache Yeah its part of why I like cathode biased amps, too lazy to deal with biasing :rofl:
