have just sat down and had a good listen to a recording of myself singing for the first time and it was not an enjoyable experiance,needed to be done tho only way that i will improve,and as long as i can progress forward iwill keep doing it,singing that is

cheers fellas, yeah still getting around to mounting the scratch guard,it was cut from a Playstation display cabinet that the local Dick Smith store threw out.still to drill mounting holes and clean up with some silicon spray.

the neck is from a Vester tele copy i got in the eighties spent a lot of time learning to play on that guitar so the neck has a good"worn in" feel to it.i also re-fretted and shaped the frets my self spent a couple of months doing that about 5 years ago. added a little custom swerl on the ...

purchased a Telecaster upgrade kit and replaced the pickup leads with cloth covered wire that came with the kit,pickup is standard Fender Tele bridge.

the cabinet wasnt built by me i just sanded the old paint job back to bear wood and am in the process of finishing ,1 coat of sanding sealer so far.the thickness of the ply that its made of would not be enough to attack the corners with a 1/2 inch router bit and maybe it might weaken the join.cheers

it took a couple of late night/early mornings to sand off the 50 year old grey paint job,using 60 grit to 180 grit sandpaper,and all i have put on it at this stage is 1 coat of sanding sealer.turning out pretty cool so far.

reassembled it and that's the way stayed for months until 6 weeks ago when i got tired of looking at the scratched up paint job
