Re: Vox AC15 CC1 Rehouse completed

Batteries have run out in my scales :D I remember carrying it down 4 flights of stairs last week and having to rest ha...

Vox AC15 CC1 Rehouse completed

After creating a new headshell for Ben last year covered in Green Tolex, I had a wanting to do my AC15. As I'm currently unemployed/unemployable - though there was an advert for a Trolley Collection Assistant at Pak 'n' Save Richmond yesterday - I thought it was time for me to actually do the deed. ...

Re: Cab building tips?

With it being for my vox, there is no frame under the grille cloth, so the t-nuts are counterbored. Fender and Marshall style would be to have a shallow frame around the outside to hold the cloth away from the actual baffle. No counterbore needed. Re: Cab building tips?

Here’s how I do a baffle - this is a Vox style

3 passes does it, I hold the router in place and slowly turn the baffle, there is a nice big chunk of sacrificial wood underneath

I used a pack of pre-made 6mm fluted dowels. They only come in the one length (30mm long).
if you make them, its best to put some flutes in them with a saw...
