Haha yeah I was rushing into it, I know its crappola, but I really really want another strat. You know how it, GAS I guess, and i've really been wanting to buy something for the past month. I need some self restraint though, last thing I want is to purchase a mistake. Gimme some feedback on that bod...

Actually, Ash, I'm pretty tempted to buy the parts seperatly and give em to you to assemble ;). How about these to start things off? http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-70s-RI-Fender-Stratocaster-Strat-BODY-Guitar_W0QQitemZ7375740818QQcategoryZ41406QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/V...

Hey Ash, would it be worth buying this if it stayed cheap? I know the body is basswood which I hear is shite, but what do you think, being the guitar guru and all? http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Floral-Stratocaster-60s-Reissue-w-Extras_W0QQitemZ7376692074QQcategoryZ33039QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem And thanks R...

Oh yeah, what exactly is playing on a scalloped fretboard like? I've always thought it would be shit, but i'd like to hear from someone who has one exactly what it's like. Are they any good for rhythm as well as lead?

It's a '93-94 Strat plus deluxe. Has blue/silver/red lace sensors in it, and locking tuners. sounds awesome, it's perfect for what I play. I got it for $1400 from cadenza in takapuna. Has anyone ever been there? Heaps of cool old stuff. I remember this custom made acoustic which was $5000 or somethi...

Heres my stuff. Dont give me shit about the ovation haha. Why do you guys rip them out anyway? Just curious. I'll be on the lookout for a 70's jap reissue strat, maple fretboard, big headstock with the big fender stratocaster logo etc, and around $700-900. don't mind if its hardtail or not. This wil...

This is what I like: Proper Strats, proper LP's, proper SG's and proper Tele's. This is what I don't like: Pretty much everything else, and strats with humbuckers, floyd rose etc. As someone mentioned before, without these models none of the other guitars would exist. Everything else is just a ripof...

Thanks guys. I took ash's advice and have taken it to clarry at 34 audio. It may not be the tubes, but the earth in a cable i had made for the MP-1 so it dosent fry the old marshall. He's working on it now. Seems like a pretty good guy, and his little shed/workshop kicks ass.

I was looking at getting the tubes done anyway. Does anyone have an idea of some good replacements? It has 12AX7A's in it now, and I fiind that they break up too easy for my liking on a clean channel. I'm after something that'll stay clean even when I turn up to 11.

Noisy amp?

Hey guys, as I was jamming today I noticed a shiteload of feedback/noise (like a big low hum) coming through my setup. I played around replacing potentially dodgy leads etc and I think that its my preamp causing it. Its a tube preamp (ADA MP-1) and I have it running into a marshall JCM800 head. I pl...
