Re: Noisy Power Amp
I was wondering about the valves, I know being shipped from Chch to Auckland won't have done them any favours :-) Kind of strange that it went straight from quiet one time to noisy the next, is that what you would expect to happen? Also I assume that I should get all the valves replaced and get the ...

Noisy Power Amp
Well my search for a power amp has ended. I am now the proud owner of a (second hand) Marshall EL84 20/20. I'm pretty sure when I first plugged it in and turned it up I was amazed at how quiet it was. However now I am getting quite a bit of noise and I was hoping someone could point me in the right ...

Re: Power Amp Recommendation
Thanks, definitely some useful stuff here. Does anyone know how much the Marshall 20/20 is likely to cost when they come in? Thats definitely one that's at the top of the shortlist. I have seriously considered the Rocktron Velocity but 150W/channel is too much for me, do they still sound good turned...

Power Amp Recommendation
Hi, I was hoping somebody might be able to recommend something for me as I can't seem to find what I want. What I am after is a low(ish) power power amp, for practise and/or recording. I had a Marshall mini stack I used as a practise amp, but I've recently bought a rocktron preamp. I would like a po...

Not sure if that is possible - it is a 1 piece maple neck with no fingerboard.

22 Fret Neck? (Possible Noob Question)
Hi, I have a Squier Strat, that I bought about 15 years ago - I think its made in Japan. Anyway I quite like this guitar and I bought some seymour duncan hot rails off trademe that I'm going to chuck in it when I finally get around to it. It has a 21 fret neck and I'd really like to upgrade it with ...
