Re: Basic audio / video recording for youtube

I just got a Logitech full HD webcam the other week from pbtech, $100, 1080p video recording, stereo mics - the sound aint half bad, but im recording audio through cubase anyway, so that makes that irrelevant. Avoid the Microsoft Lifecam like the plague - I bought one first, returned it the next day...

Just a quick question - when playing fast (alternate picking) runs/phrases, is the right hand movement supposed to originate from the fingers, wrist or elbow? It is a combination of all three. What you want to achieve here is two things - economy of movement, and also correct technique. The easiest...

Re: HD500 AND an Axe FX under my roof! haha

yeah, for the price, and two expression pedals - can't beat it. the only thing that is a shame is not being able to read the patch names on the pedal display - but if you know the numbers of your patches then its fine. it just means you have to face the axe for tuning, not a biggie, just like usign ...

Re: HD500 AND an Axe FX under my roof! haha

Also as far as MIDI controllers go - you can get the Behringer FCB1010 for cheap as chips, get the UNO Eprom chip upgrade for it (about $15USD) and then you can program it for the axe. I got mine with the chipset already installed for $200NZD

Re: HD500 AND an Axe FX under my roof! haha

yep Global Settings can be a pain if you overlook them! remembered spending ages one night trying to get something right, only to realise i had a global EQ on that was causing half the trouble >.<
