Yeah the other half and myself went to the Chch one as well, very funny. The between song banter was very very funny, I loved the muffin story just because of the way they told it.

You don't turn it off, just click on the "Desktop" square and it will take your normal Windows desktop like OS. Sometimes I open something in the desktop side of things and it takes me to a metro app (mp3 the first time and PDF's) but you can change the default behaviour of that. As far as...

I had to upgrade, started doing some Android App development and my system couldn't handle it. Plus XP has a limit of 3/4 gigs of ram and that was a little bit different to the 16 gigs I have at work

Doesn't expire until Jan 2013 so why not use it? I see they just released the final preview last week so I will upgrade to that this week (will steal the ISO from work and save the download bandwidth) It's not too bad really, installs really fast and loads pretty quickly as well.
