Re: Okay, recommend me an amp...

I just picked one of these up for under $300. 300 watts that nails good hi gain. In an old school way :P might be too old school . But has a 12ax7 in the od preamp stage. Its got a great chugging sound. http://i61.tinypic.com/1r6f4j.jpg My other Amp is a Soldano SP77. Now that has balls with hair. Y...

Re: Snakes!!! no I mean GUITARS!! on a plane...

I have taken dozens of guitars overseas. Acoustics to Thailand and Electrics to Tokyo ,London ,USA and Aust. I just wrap the guitar in a thin towel to stop it moving inside the case and loosen the strings. I always check them in at the counter and get the Fragile stickers etc. Sometimes I take them ...

Re: NGD

There are bargins to be had on there. I dont get onto TM much these days. I tend to be on Ebay more. Some of those 80 guitars where not all bad. A few Peavey models pop up from time to time and they where good in there day. The Lace Pickups seem to have aged well. Not as Crisp as modern strat pickup...

Found this old 1980s USA fender Strat on trademe for $600. Looks to have the Lace pickups retro fitted as there is a spare hold in the pickguard where the humbucker was installed. It plays exceptionally well for an old bird with no case. Was shipped to me in cardboard and bubble wrap :? Doesnt seem t...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Getting back out on the gigging scene over the next few months.

I have gone back to a very simple setup. THis covers my gigging needs. Tuner, Trem and a couple of boosts and that little Mooer pitch box that I picked up in Perth.
