Re: Anyone Rocking Vintage Blackface?

Grant B, Conway - you boys wind them up, or keep them clean? Robbie - Bandmaster would stay pretty clean right? Maybe a little grit at the top of the dial? Twins scare me. I was dating some twins when I was university, everyone would always ask me how I tell them apart, I said it was easy, Rebecca ...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

I don't have any pre-made turret boards but I can make them. That's what I do for the amps I build.
If you name a Trinity amp I can build the turret board for you.
So did you do a mod to V1a cathode circuit?

2 pot poly, very thin.
It looks like a great job.
Now that I've worked with quality poly and know how to put it on thinly, I'll never use nitro again because it isn't a tough finish.
I suppose people go for nitro partly for that very reason - the rate of wear.

Re: DIY Tunable Pickup

More on that AC10 SRT "reverb" from the "Vox Showroom" website... The AC10SRT used the infamous Vox crystal phono cartridge based reverb pan. Tom Jennings, the president of Vox, resented having to pay the $1 per amp licensing fee charged by Hammond Accutronics fee for the use of ...

Re: DIY Tunable Pickup

Interesting concept, like a fluence or similar I guess... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aojyjsl3MI Here's an interesting tidbit - back in the Sixties Vox invented their own spring reverb unit using a ceramic record cartridge at each end driving a springy wire thingy. It was used in the Vox AC10 ...

None of that yet. Just doing the turret board for now. If the nephew is keen after that, I'll look at ordering everything else.
Good luck!
