Re: Tremolux speaker shootout
Taste, so subjective! I listened a few times thru headphones... I didn't like the D120 at all and it threw my ear off every time it featured. Overall I really liked the Jensen Alnico & the GB but the GB pipped it for me because of it's slightly subdued lows.

Re: Tremolux speaker shootout
Yeah, a really great vid & demo. Was the amp running clean throughout all tests?
You should post a "survey" (or 2 surveys) - 1 vote for fave clean speaker, 1 vote for fave dirty speaker.

Re: Advice for speaker shoot out
Plus clean single notes & dirty single notes recorded on looper then all amp input is identical. Should be interesting!

Re: Valve testing offer
What you got (pic please)?
I've got an ex-military AVO C.T 160 - I even like looking at it and you should smell it!
I can match tubes on it too.

After meeting Thomas (aka Marshmallow) the other day I still think he's an amp building machine! Kudos.

There's some actual point to point wiring with the help of a few terminal strips. Scary!

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Ooops, my bad! Do you have a Cub 8 schematic - I can't find one? P.S. I'm just interested is all :D So apparently the Monoprice 5W is the same amp under a different name, its all surface mount bullshit but I have seen people who have added a NFB pot wired to the pads where the NFB resistor is... R1...
