Diagnosing a crackle... turned out to be dirty pins on a NOS 12AX7

To protect different parts of the circuit. Pretty common to a have slo-blow on the primary, and fast blow on the HT, then there is the heater circuit and some have fuses on the OP transformer or low voltage switching circuits.

Picked up one of these Debut 50R's cheap on TradeMe, going to use it as a more portable practice amp.

I sold mine and bought a Royal Atlantic, which had separate EQ controls and a built-in attenuator. It was massive and really well built . I miss it now.

I had one, it was great.
