Re: Guitar dispute, anyone got a lawyer friend?
My experience with this is limited, but my understanding would be you might have more luck with the goods being guaranteed if it was bought from a second hand dealer, as opposed to an individual - my guess would be if you were to dispute this, it'd all come down to the description the seller used on...

I don't have any kind of professional legal experience but I too am in complete agreement with jimi and the Scarecrow given what I have read here.

Carving out an easy access Neck Heel
I wasn't sure whether this post would fit better here or in the DIY Build Your Own Guitar section - mods, please feel free to make the final call and move it if necessary. My electric is an old beat-up partscaster that has had a number of mods over the years. One thing that's annoyed me for years is...

Re: Complete beginner to electronics - recommended resources
Thanks so much to everyone for all the amazing tips, pointers and resources, it's extremely helpful. I also did some searching for previous related threads and found some recommendations of great soldering kits.
Can anyone recommend a solid voltage meter? Thanks again.

Complete beginner to electronics - recommended resources
I apologize if this has been answered 5000 times already - I've done some more general Googling and found a few things that might be helpful (a couple of old electronics books that were recommended in a few places), but I thought I'd ask here, closer to home, as we have a ton of very knowledgeable p...

Re: NZ Independent Artist - Hamish Patterson, new single "Never Again"
Thanks so much for giving it a listen, really appreciate it and the kind words.
"Levee" was a massive inspiration for the drum sound I was going for and I always loved "Shine It All Around" from Mighty Rearranger so I'm delighted there's any of that kind of mojo going on.

Thanks for checking it out, folks, I appreciate you taking the time.
I just put the second track up today, it's a little more guitar-heavy.

NZ Independent Artist - Hamish Patterson, new single "Never Again"
Hey folks, long time no post - I hope you're all well and staying safe in this mad new world we live in. I've missed the forums a bit, but I've been pretty busy. I wasn't quite sure if this is the right subforum to share this - if not, admins please feel free to shift me. I'm delighted to share with...

Not yet in the mail, but ordered - REVV D20.
Probably will get punished by the duty tax.
Also, I've ordered a few other bits and bobs that may meet less excitement here: 49 key Novation SL MK3 MIDI Controller Keyboard, MOTU M4 interface, Audio Technica 2020 condenser.

Advice Needed - Strat Headstock Repair
I call upon the sage-like wisdom of the forum . . . As mentioned a while back in the "Just Sayin'" thread, I managed to put a crack through the headstock of my Warmoth strat neck, almost certainly when I popped on some Gotoh locking machine heads and foolishly gave a screw one turn too man...

Re: underway again
Just wanted to say how much I admire the craft that is going into this - stunning.
Also, I am a huge fan of the design decisions on this. That trem system will be great, the headstock design is really clever for straight string-pull and the neck joint looks really accessible. Love your work.

Also, is Ryan still around and doing amp builds on commission? I feel like Rip Van Winkle, waking from a 100 year slumber.
