Re: Guitar prices: what's the sweet spot?
Interesting and timely thread. I have been away from the GAS for a while and was startled at the cost of things these days. I remember buying PRS Customs, Fender American Standards and Les Paul Standards from ebay and flogging them on trademe as a side hustle when I was in uni. Back then the going r...

Re: Guns n Roses Auckland Wellington
I watched them last time they were here and had the seats on the side of the cake tin. The sound was horrible so might go this time around and get those GA field tickets for the best experience.
$89 seems like a good price

NGD - again!
Woohoo, after much searching I got a guitar to get me started again.
I really wanted a vintage style Strat and I was just walking past the local cashies and found this.
Squier Classic Vibe 60s strat in 3TSB for a few hundies. Stoked!
Now to find a nice small tube amp!

Re: The "Real" Music Industry.
I think there's a time in your early life where music seems so much bigger than you, that it means so much, and seems such a career to aspire to. As you get older, music means less due to the sheer volume of it and the trade offs of family vs gigging start to not be worthwhile. I remember watching ...

Re: Back in the game!
Spent almost 3 hours just playing this combo last night, surprisingly nice tone and feel. Loving it so far!
Yup, it's a PRS Tremonti SE and Blackstar HT5 with 1x10" speaker.

Oh yes!
Time to bust out the Creed covers now!
First impressions, the amp and guitar are well made and suits my beginner skills just fine!

Re: Tell me about the Fender '62 RI Strat
Hey Ed, I had one years ago, 3-TSB, CS pickups, twang and tone, started my strat addiction. My memory is quite bad but the neck reminds me of the PRS customs (wide/thin?) - i'm crap at technical specs like that but I do recall how well it played. being a fender they really are very easy to play. The...

Re: When they give a toss
that is cool been to a lot of weddings over the past year and the space for the band has always been quite cramped. mostly to do with the venue not really made for that sort of thing. Unique / Rog what are your band's names and areas you would go to? I often get asked about entertainment and so far ...
