Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
I would imagine that if the power supply was acting up the problems would be more than just a dip in one channel. Its gunna be pretty hard to diagnose anything without actually looking at the unit. I did a bit of googling, and they seem to come up with the same issue of needing a recap on the output...

Ah what a pain. I’ll keep looking over and see what else I can spot but prob best to have someone with a multi meter look at it.

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
Sorry for delay, weekend chores. Looking at the schematic it looks like they’re set up as gain staged, is there a volume difference through the unbalanced output? As that looks like it bypasses those op amps. If it’s the same through them then op amps aren’t the culprit. I see that all the audio com...

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
And on the board ive noted 100uF 25v caps with bulging ends (Jeremy) https://imgur.com/zISAbES.jpg I see in this photo an N5532 opamp. I have had them fail on me before in headphone amps where they use them as a stereo opamp rather that gain staging them, which resulted in one dim or non existent c...

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
Very nice machine, I was after one of these before I picked up my Roland RD64. Still wouldn't mind the upgrade to 88 keys one day.
Have to admit playing with keys and guitar makes you feel like a bit of a drummer at load in... so many bits!

Eastown Music Association (my band)
Hey all, my band has just released some songs on Spotify that we recorded down at Tsunami Sounds Studio. They were all just recorded acoustically and in a live setting. https://open.spotify.com/album/0XVz1BnvIwwHw72Pb3s0AU?si=0nz7Ho1HSva3cLBNVUUvvw When covid hit, the rock band was stopped in its tr...

1960's Hofner Tenor Guitar
https://i.imgur.com/kIWocvf.png Picked this up on the weekend of a neighbor, strung it with some 10's. Sounds great, its a 25" scale instead of the classic 22", so I tuned it down to AEBF# which gives it a nice feel and means it can be played with mandolin chord shapes. Surprisingly hard ...

Re: solo home writing and recording
Charmed) the drums sound pretty big and full. real or programmed? what does your vocal chain look like? they seem to be sitting nice and present in the mix. The Vocal chain on Charmed and Crowded Room were, Rode Nt1A -> Sound Sculptor MP566 -> FMR Audio RNC1773 -> Soundcraft 1600 -> then once in Lo...

also not helped by the overwhelming amount of videos online that all seem to offer different advice. This... When I'm trying to figure something out I watch a video, then do a google. 4/5 times one tells you not to do what the other recommended. Its a mine field and everyone does it different. I bu...

Re: HX Stomp, dialing it in and first impressions.
Just brought an HX Stomp. Keen to try in ear, what are the 215s' like? Isolation wise. Isolation wise, SE215s do pretty well on a loud stage Neat, I have tinnitus. So need to ensure the volume is a minimum. More worried about volume than sound quality, as anything has got to be better than the muff...

Re: HX Stomp, dialing it in and first impressions.
I'm using it for direct in. Really don't have the time for tweaking that's why I pay and buy presets because other people have spent lots of time with the tweaking! What do you use at home for the output? active monitors or headphones? Just my Shure 215s at the moment as that’s what I’ll be listeni...
