Re: Show us your pedalboard
I've used one as my only OD for years, love it as a fuzz but don't have much call for it. usually use it for light break up or crunch.MattH wrote:

Never used a Hot Cake before - great pedal. Super versatile and sounds immense with humbuckers.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Well this is my first attempt at a pedal board, I dont yet have all the pedals on there I really want but its a start. Its a PT pro board with a 1-Spot CS 12 Pro power supply (which is really good) using cheap patch cables at the moment but will change them as I go. I have been a real multi effects...

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Coming along nicely, next addition will be a amp sim so I can go direct (probably a Tech21 Liverpool) and I will need to squeeze in a tremolo and reverb somehow. I might loose the EQ at some point but I find it useful ATM.

I have a VisualSound H2O which has the added bonus of a delay as well as a really nice chorus. loving the tone control it has

Re: Show us your pedalboard
You can simulate an FX loop by running your delay/verb AFTER the Tech21, that works fine and gives you a cleaner delay sound. I was running my WET reverb like that. But I like the dirt and grit of the DMM going into the ‘amp’ as it were. I like the Tech21 a lot. Much easier than carrying an amp and...

Re: What are you gassing for?
yes that's my idea. I guess the worse that can happen is that i leave it in parallel if series sounds awful!\

Re: What are you gassing for?
My plan is the put a phat cat (HB sized P90) in a HSS strat and wire up a series parallel switch and get some of the versatility of a p-rails but with decent tone. Horrible idea or genius?

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Finally got round to buying a proper pedalboard (hard to justify over a new pedal!), its a Pedal Train JR. Here is the first layout. The hotcake is always on for electric guitar and the EQ I plan to use with my new acoustic but i haven't had much chance to play around with it, I might just rely on t...
Re: NGD & NPD
So my verdict on the Chorus: The chorus side is amazing. So many sweet chorus and vibrato sounds. Can nail the overdone 80s chorus tone if you want but it can do so much more - faux leslie, grunge era chorus, crazy freakout sounds (but luckily you can avoid them easily if you leave the 'detune' knob...
Re: NGD & NPD
So far it appears to have a pretty soft finish, i think it will relic up in a very short time with use.
