Re: Help With Learning VST Host

Thanks, You have given me some very good ideas. I am keen to get my head out of the VST I have been using and go to a simpler system like you have. I will upgrade to a new PC with W7 in the next couple of weeks and then get on to using Scuffham. I think one of my problems is that my guitar input sig...

Re: Help With Learning VST Host

OK, Just had a look at a YouTube demo of Scuffham S-Gear that was suggested. Very impressed, a much simpler option to what I have been trying. Does not run on XP which I use but I am planning to upgrade very soon. Will check out the other recommendations. Thanks again guys.

Re: Help With Learning VST Host

Thanks Guys, I appreciate your replies. Yes I was very lean on providing details and should have done better. I thought the simple approach was to try and hook up with someone using VST and take it from there. I knew that this was a long shot so plan B was to throw in some detail on what I am doing ...

I have been playing around using VSTHost by Hermann Seib and a bunch of free modules but I am struggling to get the sound I would like. I don't think what ever talent I have includes a keen hearing ...

Re: Thinking about an Amp Kitset

Thanks. It looks very good. I cleaned out the garage some weeks back which was bad timing now that I am interested in doing a build. I think I have a good power transformer somewhere so If I can't find it I may buy an amp as news tranies sure are $$$$ killers

Re: Thinking about an Amp Kitset

Thanks Alan, Great to get your expert opinion. As you know there is not a lot of parts required so I think I will price up the parts and at least save on the overseas freight. There is a new Peavey ValveKing Royal 8 on Trademe for $350 which is attractive but It will be more satisfying buiding my ow...

Thinking about an Amp Kitset

Thinking about building a valve amp around 5 watts for using at home. It looks like an easy way to get the expenditure past the treasurer ! Aston electronics (http://www.astonelectronics.co.uk/valve-amp-kits-tube-amp-kits.html) in the UK build there own range of built up and kit sets for a decent pr...
