I like his playing. Obviously grounded in Hendrix and SRV. That said, I have lately come to feel like I've been listening to the same solo for forty years.

Played a SVL Strat the other day. Felt lovely. Just recently I played a a pre-CBS Jaguar (or was it a Jazzmaster?). Anyway, that neck felt similar in its played-inidness. Just lovely.

The SVL chap is also Pete Townsend's tech. Production halts when The Who are on tour.

Bought these tonight. The seller was an older guy in his 70s. Had some lovely gear including a SVL Strat. Might be the nicest-feeling Strat I've ever played. Just a tip. Snap the neck off at the heel and screw it back on with whatever you can find in the shed. I promise you, it really improves the tone...

Not a shocker as such more a slightly bemused observation. Called in to the K'Rd Rockshop the other day and a saw a latest Gibson CS '59 ES 335, got a soft spot 335s, reasonable neck and weight and a good tobacco sunburst finish asking $13k.
