Re: Learn me on P-90 Pickups
Thanks Matt! Yeah I don't subscribe to that necessarily, but do want the 50s wiring. Dunno if you can mess with what's in there to make it happen, but I wouldn't trust me to do it! It could actually be super easy depending on what you already have. It is essentially just moving the capacitors over ...

Re: Learn me on P-90 Pickups
Are the hole routings the same distance apart on LP as on SG? Unfortunately not. Infact we found the hole spacing on SGs dosent have the same spacing as other SGs which is why we do not offer an option for them. We hope do do something that will work with just about anything later this year. PCBs k...

Re: Crazy Strat idea?
Thanks for the suggestions guys. This actually happened in a dream I had last night and I was pretty stoked with the outcome, have been thinking about it a fair bit today Sorry I can’t really talk much about the rest of the dream. It involved a $20 bill, talcum powder a cucumber and a cameo appeara...

If its a poly finish you will likely start regretting your decision about 8 minutes into the job.

Re: Pepers' Rocket Sockets!
I'm with you Dany. These look handy AF.
We currently use sockets without the ratchet, but the wings would save the hands for sure.

Re: Strat wiring mods
It essentially gives you the same options as the Blender harness, but returns the second tone control which can be useful. That sounds great, I may have to give it a try. Is that a push-pull in the second tone control then? I haven't read the details, just wondering how the neck is brought into the...

Re: Strat wiring mods
I have always had a Blender harness but have recently switched to a seven way setup. It essentially gives you the same options as the Blender harness, but returns the second tone control which can be useful. Choosing pots should happen after you choose your pickups. 95% of the time you should go wit...

Re: Thomann collecting NZ GST
What happens when you use the Youshop address for Europe? I assume you’d pay Euro 20% VAT, and then customs would put NZ 15% GST plus charges. OUCH!! They also might refuse you for using a NZ credit card, might be able to get away with paypal but still... I think what I'll likely do if I can't find...

Yes. As above, the two functions work individually of each other.

Re: Push/pull tone pot advice
Actually yes. If you cut the tone cap, it will be a dead end circuit, so it won't do anything.

Re: Replacing Les Paul pots - suggestions
You could test your theory by putting a 470k resistor between the hot and ground leads of your pickups.
That would give you 250k volume controls for about a dollar.

Re: Disappointing product range in NZ
This conversation comes up every few years, and I think I roll out a similar response every few years, but am happy to do so again. For anybody new(ish) to the forum, I spent more than a decade as a senior manager at NZ Rockshop, and currently am the Australia/NZ Sales Manager for Roland & BOSS...

I feel like that was a separate issue. This is a very recent, and somewhat severe development.
