Re: GUITAR: oh, cliche topic - what picks do you use!

I had a lot of issues with picks rotating in my fingers too, and I have a lot of success with Herco picks.
I use the medium gold and the strong grey, and recommend both completely.

Re: Show us your whole setup....

Does the Helix use the monitors?
If so, how is the sound quality? I have been trying to run my old Pod x3 out of a PA speaker I picked up cheap but it doesn't get anywhere near the quality I hear in my headphones.

Re: The 'Importing Stuff from Overseas' Thread

I live in Tokyo and I frequent http://ikebe-gakki.com/ and http://ishibashi.co.jp/ for second hand stuff. Especially Ikebe. I haven't had any experience shipping overseas, but I can vouch that these guys are well known professional businesses with good stuff. I have been able to get some crazy deals...

So how did you come to be in possession of such an inscrutable device? Because if there is somewhere I can buy mystery pedals, I am all in.

Re: Music Planet Greenlane Ram Raid

The image of those poor guitars getting all scratched and trashed in the back of a ram raid ute is seriously horrifying.

Good luck getting some justice.

Re: NGD: Ibanez JS1000 (Hand Painted)

Wow, that's really well done. I really like the consistency over the whole body, and the way it goes well with the rounded shape.

Been scanning the pictures expecting to find a hidden Kiwi or something.

Re: What skills do you respect most about a guitarist?

I'd say what I genuinely admire most in any musician is an ability to combine well with others. Yeh, I agree. I really like people who can play as a part of a group instead of sitting on top of it. I am personally thinking of Brian May or maybe Steve Howe. Guys that can step forward and take focus ...

Re: Buckethead

For a guitarist that seems to have so much talent why does he play such shit music ? Mate, you nailed it. As far as I can tell, he is a very talented session guitarist who occasionally fills in for big bands (I think he was with Guns and Roses for a while, and I know he tried out for Ozzy Osbourne)...

I usually use a swiss ball. I can adjust the size fairly easily, and I can bounce up and down as I play :D

Re: What are you gassing for?

Did anyone else see the prototype Chapman Ghostfret on Rob Chapman's youtube channel?

Explorer shape with a flame maple top and a hipshot bridge. I was actually trying to reach into my screen at some points.
