Definitely come check it out. It's one of the greatest things you can do on the internet, yet no ones getting on board
Frustrating lol. Quite a few Aussies on there, but no other Kiwis yet

Online Jamming. COME JOIN
Anyone keen to jam their instrument online? I've been using this program sonobus. Works really well. Sound quality is really clear and latency below 30ms basically feels like you're in the same room which is what we'd get between New Zealanders. I've tried a few other programs, this one is by far th...

Re: What are you gassing for?
Ha yep, definitely going for the Ax8 now. It'll be replacing my axe-fx ultra. Quick question to anyone reading this - Anyone know what an axe-fx ultra would be worth around here?hamo wrote:Fixedmitch311 wrote:Ax8!

Re: Push Pull Pots for Les Paul
I'd like to have it done to my LP one day, or the Page wiring maybe. I probably wouldn't flip through the configurations too much during a song but for certain songs or sounds, sometimes it calls for it. Yeah, I've been keeping it simple and only using my les paul for cover gigs. I think something ...

Re: Push Pull Pots for Les Paul
Ok thanks for the suggestion, and I'll do a little research on that triple-shot set. I think I'll either pay a professional to install it, or trade some beer like Jimi did to a mate who's experienced to install the push/pulls. If it was a cheaper guitar, I'd probably experiment and solder it myself,...

Re: Axe-fx ii w/ MFC-101 vs AX8
Ok thanks for your input. Yeah, I'm thinking more and more of getting the Ax8 instead of the Ax-ii and just buying an interface so I can record with it. The Ax8 is only $2,290 from independentmusic.co.nz now

Axe-fx ii w/ MFC-101 vs AX8
Thoughts? Lets say if price wasn't an issue - In terms of usability for live performances, what do you find better/easier?
And then lets say overall, factoring in price, what would you prefer?

Almost sold my Ibanez RGA321. I'm glad I didn't. No regrets for any of the guitars I actually have sold.

Push Pull Pots for Les Paul
Has anyone installed Push Pull controls for their les paul? I'm considering modifying my Gibson Les Paul Classic with them. I would like to make it more versatile, and be able to get a single coil clean sound from it. What are peoples thoughts on this? Would you recommend doing it?

Re: What strings do you use and why? Plus Picks. Plus cables.
Strings - Been using GHS regular 10s. I had my guitars setup by audiozephyr.co.nz and he uses GHS, and I've just stuck with that. Picks - Mainly Dunlop jazz III XL's red. I just like them. But I also use dunop tortex orange/yellow and these dunlop 88mm grippy picks for strumming and funky stuff. Cab...
