Re: NGD & N(ish)GD

Shipping was around $300 at today’s fx. I honestly can’t remember the details of how it was packed, but certainly don’t have any memories of thinking it was below expectations. I’d happily buy from them again, eyeing up a Rickenbacker 330.

Definitely prefer the blackguard myself, reckon a tort would look mean too, but happy as it is.

Piece of P!ss. Shipping was costly, but I still got a Korean made proper size Casino for the same price as the current casino coupes with laurel or whatever fingerboard in RS.

Re: NGD & N(ish)GD

Best Tele ever. And since Teles are the best guitars ever… They look great, neck is fantastic, pickups are pure rockin’ in the bridge and singin’ in the neck. Only thing is that Fender roadworn relic which is a bit naff. But in the end love that I don’t have to baby it and any new scratches are reli...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/feb/22/guitar-maker-gibson-opens-store-off-london-oxford-street Grumpy old man post ahead. Everyone knows this store will only be a cost. Every Gibson that sells through a "proper" music shop will be subsidising their ego driven folly of big retai...

Re: Gibson Falcon amps

I quite like things that aren't perfect, so I'm going to go against the grain, and say "yeap, I totally would".

(after they have been heavily discounted...)

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Here’s mine, 2017 traditional in heritage cherry burst. Was trying to find an arty pose for it like y’all do, but gave up. Bought this last year from that Hart fella who has 1001 guitars and wanted to get under a 1000 I think. Alerted to it via our own trademe madness thread, where everyone was deri...

Re: NGD Pelham SG special

Thanks, yeah had a wee look and see that mine does tilt that slight amount. I’ve always been surprised by how well it intonates, so I guess it’s okay. Although that might be more to do with the loose tolerances of my ears! Agreed the filing stands out, I’d put mine in the Gibson Shocker thread, it’s...

Re: NGD Pelham SG special

Removing tape after fret polishing You can see the fretboard has nice grain to it. One negative is the slightly rough factory job on the binding between each fret/nib. alot of file marks. Does anyone bother with this? I guess a careful razor blade scraping would sort it out. https://imgur.com/pbKhA...

Aroused. How clean do you set your amps?
Vox is pretty clean, Marshall is a pretty dirty, I like bipolar stereo sounds.

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Sorry Danny! In signal flow order, Jam pedals wahcko wah, Whammy, Duke of Tone, Beetronics Royal jelly (purple yellow thing), Strymon Orbit - stereo out, Volante, left side into Beautiful Noise When the Sun Explodes (pink one), DBA rooms (top left). Some of these I purchased solely due to my penchan...
