Re: The Bull Kelp Surfers July 5th Portland Public House
The first (only) time I seen you guys was at the Portland with Slowy. I had my first ever asthma attack! I don’t necessarily blame you guys or the venue. But I’m never going to watch your band again… without an inhaler handy. Slowy, fancy some company? Haha wow, reverb induced brinchospasm. Rare. I...

Re: Recommendations to service a Mesa mk IV?
Clarry answered the door for me when I last picked up a repair from him a couple weeks ago. Looked the same as he always did. Seemed to be walking and talking and everything.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Doing a pedalboard overhaul. Took the current vemurams from the large board and moved it to the small board. Reg's pedal will go to my main board. Butter machine and ods-1 will be added to the large board after I return mid May. Main board made by cleantones (super awesome dude). Made the top board...

Re: Gear Quests!
Same here. Spotted a JCM800 and 1960A cab at cashies in Henderson back in the mid 2000s. About $800 from memory.
Good Score.
Most distant one was an overnight road trip to wellington to pick up the vintage Soundtracs desk that became the centrepiece of the recording setup in the Manor.

Re: Guitar valuations from an out of touch player
Welcome! That's an interesting bridge on the Strat, what is it? Great opportunity go get your Bonnie Raitt on. As for prices, check Trademe and Reverb for a general indication but remember they're asking, not selling prices. To be honest, replies from us might be opportunistic (though not all). But...

Re: UAFX Lion Safari!
Excellent outcome, I didn't know they were stereo, thats a bit of a game changer!! Yes, all the full size UAFX pedals have stereo in/out. I think the Lion pedal outs are more intended for mono to stereo pass-through to stereo pedals like the Astra and Starlight. Or to send to an amp plus front of h...

Re: UAFX Lion Safari!
Thought I'd update the safari. I'd been looking for a way to have an ideal home practice set-up based around the Lion Pedal and, a relatively light rehearsal rig. The biggest thing was to have something that when I plugged into my actual amp, I'd be close enough in tone and response not to be bother...
