Re: Small portable mixing desk.

This is not what you're looking for , but I thought that I would give it a quick mention - I bought a mini mixer similar to this link, about 20 years ago. It's very handy for those impromptu occasions when you need extra unput jacks to share an amp at a jam or to connect some mics. Runs off a 9 vol...

What brand is it. If usb powered it will be 9 or 12v I can get a usb cigarette lighter usb charger and should be good to go.

Re: An uplifting Stomp Box tip

Rather than buy stain for such a small piece of wood, I used shoe polish! I used tape to see how well the concept would work, but never got around to doing anything more permanent. The tape has lasted well but Piano hinge (or 2 small hinges) would be the best way. What type of shoe polish did you u...

Small portable mixing desk.

Not sure if this fits here hope any pops will be kind enough to move it to a more appropriate place on forums. Hi today I am looking for a small portable mixing desk. With 2 or 4 channels and hopefully battery powered or at least 9v or 12v so I can mod it for battery when out and about. That said th...

Re: An uplifting Stomp Box tip

Does the sx give a nice deep thud? No! Mine has a piezo in it and it needs to be eq'd & is best through a bass amp. Turn the mids right down & adjust treble & bass to suit. Also, the bigger the speaker - the better the result. Shoe soles make a hugh difference - soft soles = more thud, ...

Re: Stompbox, foot drum, other foot percussion.

There is a guy who does busking in Auckland with a flashy red guitar named Jellybean. He uses his guitar hard-case he made a notch in the case near the top for, the mic lead to come out. Sounds great. When I go busking I need to fit on a trolley so I can jump on the bus and cart my gear around the p...

Stompbox, foot drum, other foot percussion.

Today I want to share my foot percussion with you all. When it comes to stompboxes, foot drums etc, there are many types, from DIY to professional electric or acoustic. Basically a stompbox is anything you hit with your foot to make a percussion sound. these can be acoustic or electric. As far s i c...

Re: Acoustic percussion stompboxes

These are great I have made one or 2, see Stompbox, foot drum, other foot percussion and have an SX stompbox I got from Lewis Eady here in Auckland but other stores have also had them. They are good. Tried a Wazinator classic stompbox at the Rockshop, was really nice. You can get a wide variety of d...

Re: An uplifting Stomp Box tip

Well this looks like a great idea. I have the SX stompbox. Currently I have been using a rubber anti-slip mat, it does still slip but a lot less. I like your idea but not a fan of duct tape, it gets sticky and comes off over time, leaving a mess, and new duct tape ever sticks that we'll. I wonder i...
