Re: AFJ guitars?

Yeah I know, always a consideration.

Not sure I could justify more than $500 on what might be a DIY project or a shiny turd.

Re: AFJ guitars?

Yeah and the seller isn't a lot of help either. It must be difficult to run a guitar business with zero online presence nowadays.

There's no website or demo videos, just a listing on some obscure site and basically I don't want to drop a lot of money on a potential lemon. Any wo...

Re: Sourcing Telecaster neck

Adrian from AshCustomWorks used to have a bunch of tele necks. Not sure if he still does (I'd imagine he does though) but drop him a line and see.

Re: Review: 2017 American Professional Stratocaster

One thing Fender said on their changes list was a change to "tall, narrow" frets. That puts me off. Are they vintage style? Or like you'd find on a MIJ Fender? The highway one had massive frets and was great fun to play.

It weighs quite a bit due to the upgraded iron. It's running some beasty transformers.

Handmade cab, amp, amp shell.

The amp uses the laney chassis and controls but the innards are all bespoke.

Yeah it's a work of art that thing, nothing to do with me though. That was all the amp tech. He's a wizard.

Re: Building a 2x12 from solid wood

And we're done. 6 coats of semi-gloss polyurethane, then knocked back with 0000 steel wool and polished up.
