Re: Delay & Reverb pedal with midi control
Much appreciated. I'm banking on the MIDI sorting everything out. Sound quality can only be the same if not better than what i have currently.

Re: Delay & Reverb pedal with midi control
Hey mate would you mind checking the height of the Nova for me?The Nova system is really nice, I picked one up recently for $300, and it covers a lot of bases, especially because it also adds in programmable analog overdrive too. It is a big bugger, but then it might be all you need?

Re: Delay & Reverb pedal with midi control
I've had 2 H9s and an Amplifire all working off a single midi footswitch, no problems with either direct presets or simple scroll up/down, and with expression pedal over midi and tap tempo clock all synced. That would make for a great pedal porn photo. I got a Voodoo Lab switcher doing the channel ...

Re: Delay & Reverb pedal with midi control
Mmm the H9 is prefered for the options and size, but it's also the most spendy. Understandibly so, i had a flick through the manual and the level of tweakability was ridiculous! I have 2 of them. 1 may be surplus to my requirements... Was that so you could run two algorithms at the same time? TC Nov...

Delay & Reverb pedal with midi control
Chaps, I'm wanting to maximise my ES-5 options and just use the loops for the analog non DSP stuff. What options have you come across? I'm thinking something in the vein of the Boss DD500 or Eventide H9. Any extra modulation is nice but not essential. A proper DIN socket would be cool too. I like th...

Have you tried the USB out instead of the DI?

That was pretty cool. It made me feel like i was listening to Kyuss but with Josh Homme singing. Then Sabbath kicking in part way through. Good vibes

Re: NAD Laney IRT-Studio
Hmm i think it was sometime in December '14 * when i bought it *. I got a cheap Cub cab at the time, and also bought a Laney GS212 earlier this year. I like them both but the GS is closed back and is better for the metal, as you correctly assumed lol. Jack Thammarat makes some sweet non-metal sounds...

Re: NAD Laney IRT-Studio
Fair enough, the cab sim sounds alright so you can run straight out of the amp and not miss out. I have mine sandwiched between another amp and a rack drawer. Run for an hour or two at a time and no overheating issues as of yet. I think as long as there is space for air to go front to back or side t...

Re: 100w MV amps
I want to say the Laney Ironheart 50-120w heads but my experience is limited to the Studio. I can get that down below talking volume and still get some good chugging going on. If the master volume scales the same for the bigger ones then you're in. If by cheaply you mean second hand, they do come do...

Re: Treble Booster: To Buy or Build?
Cheers for that! Since this thread died off i've asked Tony to make me a germanium Ophidia, but i'm yet to hear back from him. I'm going to make a silicon based one in the mean time, once the donor pedal arrives. I've been looking at schematics for a Brian May treble booster which must be nearly ide...

Re: Lights...
So you've relocated the output jack?
Passive is fine, i was just referring the active circuit for powering the light. Separate things in the same cavity, assuming there's enough space for a wee battery

A Jewel light would be pretty cool on a gat!
You could adapt the circuit active pickups use for power. Put whatever size battery you want in there and use to a stereo output jack to make/break the circuit
