Put amber Shellac on the top to pop the grain but still look natural,tried blue and purple dye but I preferred a naturalish tone Sprayed a couple of coats of clear lacquer to seal it, next step will be route it to final shape with the original Elm giving a faux binding effect 414695980_3544513338897...

Got the body shaping completed, now just a metric fuckton of sanding to do
Weighs in at 2.425 kgs or 5lb 5oz and has a wonderful resonant ping when sanding
Now need bridges to clear customs, who knows when at this time of year

Man, how was the fb after? I can get a linbide scraper. Bit of a worry but the lacquer isn't giving me a good vibe.
