Re: True Tone CS7 repair
Hey Corey, Thanks for writing in. I apologize for the late reply. LM1117 is the correct regulator on the CS7. If this does not fix the problem let me know and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. All the best, Dana Weaver Director - Tr...

Re: True Tone CS7 repair
The adjustable version of the LM1117 by the looks of the making and the silkscreen on the PCB. Cheers Blake, that's what I reckoned too. Have pinged them an email anyways, will post if I hear back :) I've often found that while companies aren't very forthcoming in regards to schematic requests, man...

Re: True Tone CS7 repair
Meh, the output died completely. Will change the Reg out... Just checking, looks like a LM1117 from these markings and the pcb. Anyone able to cofirm this? Might ping a quick email to Truetone otherwise. Chur :) Screenshot_20240504-171138-583.png The adjustable version of the LM1117 by the looks of...

Re: True Tone CS7 repair
Might be this guy? https://www.fantailaudio.com/ Might be. That's the one. I have never dealt with him, so can not vouch, but he seems legit and has fixed lots of pedal it appears. Just a few. :D New caps in. Hasn't faulted again yet, but needs a proper soak before we'll call this fixed. Cle...

Re: True Tone CS7 repair
Bad filter caps as Reg says, dodgy DC jack maybe, or the regulator on that particular output.

Re: My Marshall JMP 1987 clone. Sound clip. The Unchained Riff (of course).
No master volume. Partly because I have the Power Station, but partly because I am not sure if I want a master volume, or if I do; what type. There's several, each with their pros and cons. All of them change the sound of the amp, but then again so does the Power Station. Another option is power sc...

Re: My Marshall JMP 1987 clone. Sound clip. The Unchained Riff (of course).
You're speaking my language with that tone. Sounds great! Cheers. It's getting there. It's partly down to how the lad is playing the riff. He's got the thing we need to sound good. The thing some players just have and others like me have to work hard to get. Lucky him. I am thinking of ordering one...
