Yeah, I think you're right about the Dual Dark. It was $1799 at the first two stores I looked at. Then found another where is was $2600 and another at $3100

On a slightly different topic, does anyone know what's up with the Dual Dark pricing in NZ? $3800 at the RS, $4200 at MusicWorks. They are around $1799 in Australia. The Terrors are a little more expensive here but that difference seems ridiculous!

Yeah, I used to have Mesa DC5 and it was heavy... still not as heavy as my 2x12 cabinet though!

Cool, the clean headroom wouldn't be an issue... the drummer possibly! I play in a punk/metal band but we're not incredibly loud

I've been thinking for a while of getting a Dark Terror or a Tiny Terror but I really can't seem to get a gauge on how loud they are> Some people say easily loud enough for practice and gig-able if miked and others say they really struggle. Can anyone tell me their experience?

Yeah, to me it looks cheap and plasticy. Plus the logo looks like something someone came up with using Microsoft office.

I've sort of been wondering about this for a while - some sort of preamp (amplifire maybe) into something like a Magnum 44 or maybe a Quilter Tone Block?
