They need a bunch of divorces, overdoses and maybe a death or 2 to get the fire back :P
Another doco.... "Some More Kinds of Monsters".

Just wait for Lars' dad to encourage them to 'delete that' again

Re: NAD!

So far so good, aside from the fact my Mooer BB30 power amp has the worst whine coming out of the power supply :?

Re: NAD!

Jump straight into the desktop editor, the user interface on the unit itself is indecipherable. It'll sound great though! My main gigging board for so many years. Thanks Ed! Yeah, the majority of the webs agree with you that the software is the way to go for editing vs on the unit. The inner bogan ...

NAD!

New AX8 Day 8) Stoked to have found this one with only one owner who barely used it - the preamp equivalent of that old barnyard coupe find I reckon. Looking forward to the idea of having everything on my board and taking one less thing to practice/gigs  Not looking forward to inevitable Matrix...

Re: JCM900 4102 opinions?

bush used one on sixteen stone Interesting. I was batshit about that album around '96 when forming my first school band - 90's pic of me in that era have me channeling Gavin Rossdale's aesthetic rather hard  . Always thought that tone came from strats into Big Muffs to my ears. Might have to r...

Re: JCM900 4102 opinions?

I've had a couple of 900's. Great if you like a box of bees as your only tone. Not so great otherwise.

Only luck I had was with a 50w head I put EL34's in over the awful 5881's, left the gain around halfway and really drove it with an MXR overdrive in front. Decent, but my DSL smoked it.

2c comments appreciated.
Also, the AX8 is a physically formidable unit.
As in it's a beast physically?

jeremyb wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 11:38 am One thing to consider with the Kemper is given its age, surely they'll have a newer and more powerful unit in the works? I mean the current model came out the same time as the HD500
True, but I thought they promised lifetime support on this sort of thing.

Re: Explain me Kemper

Bought mine a few months back. I love it. I only use it for the cover band I'm in straight to PA with IEMs for monitoring. Best FOH sound I've ever had, even over load box and FM3. - Don't get caught up in the great profile search. If you're serious, spend some money on Michael Britt presets or sim...

Explain me Kemper (and now, AXE FX)

So, I'm keen on buying a toaster. I've traditionally been a tube guy, but about 4-5 years ago, I moved into the Katana and never looked back. Used a Kemper generated profile for last recording and was really impressed with what I found. I know there's a plethora of info on the webs, but I'd really b...

Apart from being backwards, that's one of the nicest LP's in that colourway I've seen.

Re: The Cheap Guitars Thread

Picked this up last year, and despite being rough-AF cosmetically on purchase, it's cleaned up nice and plays well despite needing a setup. A new set of Elixir 11's , tuned down to Drop C and it's a real little riff monsters. The red X on the upper bout has been black-tapped and the larger one on t...
