I enjoy his posts on here and have noticed he dips in and out as his real life dictates, but similarly I hope it isn't anything serious.

Good to see you around these parts again Rog!
No scoffing from me, I'm surprised how much I enjoy jamming on my daughter's little 3/4 sized Epi SG.

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!
If it were on an '80s inspired shred stick, a Kramer Baretta or similar, I'd think it was pretty cool. On an LP, hideous.

Re: What's on your work bench?
Unironically, Wayne Static had an immense guitar tone and that was all vs100 heads. Yeah man! Wayne had the tightest riffs too. The vs100 is almost identical or pretty close to the 8100 used by Chuck Schuldiner used in Death. Yeah I know, I just wanted to give Wayne some props after I was listening...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!
If it's anything like their t-shirts, I don't want one. The sleeves are too short and tight. Like it's large everywhere else, and medium on the sleeves. Quality control, etc. Nah, Gibson know their target audience. Fat old men with scrawny little arms. Well all your sister feeds me is ramen and tof...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!
Looking at the present and future guitarists, I'll stick with the past thanks. Audible dreck, 90% of it. Although there still seems to be a plethora of youngsters on YouTube playing Sabbath and Zeppelin material, so maybe there is hope. I'll fetch my cardigan. Is it a Gibson cardigan ? If it's anyt...

Re: What artist immediately comes to mind when I say...
Gretsch: Billy Duffy I was wondering if anyone would have that association. When everyone else was Jackson/Hamer/Kramer/BC Rich etc, Billy was rocking away on his White Falcon in the vids for songs off Electric. Took me a long time to find out the album is pretty much all Les Paul into a Marshall I...
