Re: Is Chorus back?
Hey Ed, I made a comment recently, " If Boss don't make it, you don't need it." And I generally hold this to be true. But Boss doesn't do any form of Klon clone do they? Not as a standalone pedal, but there's a good Centaur mode that lives inside of the OD-200, funnily enough I was just w...

Re: Is Chorus back?
Haha I love the two extremes presented within the first two replies.
I've always loved chorus and it's been very present in the music that I listen to... but for some reason never used it much in my actual playing.

Is Chorus back?
It feels like chorus as an effect has been enjoying a resurgence recently. Yay or nay? Or did it never go away? In any case, I made this video to help people compare and contrast every single BOSS chorus ever made... so please watch and hopefully it helps in your tone questing! https://www.youtube.c...

Here's where I hang out most days!
Not in shot: a few more guitars in the closet, piano by the window, and a big shelf full of pedals and Transformers

Re: Roland JC in a wet/dry/wet setup
Kia ora. There's a JC for sale near me that I'm sniffing around, with a view to using it for stereo wet in a w/d/w setup with my Lionheart. On paper it looks like it should work. I know it won't give me a wide stereo spread, but it'll be stereo nonetheless. I have a splitter box that does the isola...

Re: Boss GT1000 core users thoughts??
Quite a few HX users on here, I'm sure they'll chime in soon :) Seems like Hx are very popular, but heard GT1000 have better sounds? :zomg: One of our dealers did a comparison of the features between the two (GT-1000CORE and HX Stomp) when the CORE first came out, could be helpful for you: https://...

Re: Blackstar goes lightweight with a switch mode PSU tube amp
This is something I’ve been wondering about for ages, why someone hasn’t made this a reality, until now…. https://guitar.com/features/interviews/blackstar-st-james-series-lightest-50-watt-valve-amps/ I spent about half an hour with the EL34 combo and 6L6 head/cab yesterday, some quick thoughts: - E...

Re: First World Problems - New Amp Choices
The outro to that is the first time I've seen Danish Pete concentrating. That amp appears to destroy my holdout position against digital amps; their clean tones were on the sterile end of utterly uninteresting. I'm keen to try one of those. About bloody time. If you guys liked that, you may ...

Re: BOSS GX-100 - Touch the Rainbow
Nice work Ed, I enjoyed that. Are they patches you prog'ed up, or defaults? They're patches that I made specially for the video :) Nice variety of demo tones Ed. Refreshing to see as so many times with these sorts of things it's very pigeonholed in terms of the demonstrator. Good to show a huge arr...

BOSS GX-100 - Touch the Rainbow
Aaaah I'm so excited for this release. It's the thing I've been asking for more or less since the first year that I started at BOSS/Roland. - Colour touch screen - Dynamic assign blocks (not fixed signal chain) - Sound engine of the flagship GT-1000 - In a pretty dang compact form factor! I'll let L...
