Getting Started?

So whats the easiest way to get started on modding? Or even learning to do a proper setup? I plan on paying guitar for the rest of my life, so I figure its reasonable to learn these things so I can change my guitars as I want without having to spend thousands on skilled professionals over the years ...

Looks awesome.

So stoked that Friedman got a signature model, surprised the SE doesnt have a wide thin neck though.

Re: Scale Length?

Is the wall of text helpful? Short scale + loads of frets = guna run into trouble. Long scale + loads of frets (~24) = not so bad; PRS custom 24s are pretty good for it at 25.5", but I still found the dusty frets to be difficult to manage. Haha yeah it is, I dont feel like I need to try every ...

Re: Scale Length?

Boy is this a tin of worms. I'm going to write a whole thing about stuff I've had and why it has or hasn't worked. 24" : Classic player Jaguar HH Offset body and short scale made this a real easy guitar to pick up and play. Sitting or standing was great. I have decent size hands with pia...

Scale Length?

How big an impact does scale length have on your choice in guitar? Generally, I have long fingers so I've found with a Strat (25.5") my fingers seem to have more room to move around, though I've been pining for a singlecut (the look and the sound). Most of them are Gibson specc'd, at 24.5"...
