I thought Speaker break up was desirable?

I remember reading about SRV and Tony Bruno running 60 watt amps into 30 watt speakers, dont know how accurate my memory is, i thought thats how you get that blues crunch?

Re: advice-mixer/recorder

I have a small A&H mixer with a USB out I use at work.

it has 4 mic channels and two or so line ins.

if the USB out connects to the DAW on your laptop you might be in business with something like that? I think it was under 1K

Re: D-style amp using PCBoard

yes! I would skip the D and just make the Boogie mk1. skip the verb and make one of those fender jobs.

those are my thoughts.

Re: NGD: Ibanez SZ320MH

I really liked these guitars when they came out. Played a blingy one in Australia last time i was there.
At the time I thought they would be the next big thing. Seems like a great sleeper guitar to me.

knightshade, were they an 80`s metal band?
late 80`s, i`m sure i`ve seen them play a few times.
i saw one of Devilskins first shows at that small place down that ally in new lynn.

i knew they were good the first time i saw them. so great that they have done so well.

Those guys have been trying to recreate Black in Black with each album, they didn't realize Danzig had already accomplished that.
