Re: Dave Dobbyn - Language

That's why it worked so well for me - no solo! Lol. Just played it by myself on acoustic, works really well.

Re: Dave Dobbyn - Language

In that tab I wrote in a B+ cause I didn't know the proper name for the chord (if it has one). I've had a look online and I *THINK* it might be a B flattened 9th . How I played that bit is Bmaj on the seventh fret, then moved the third string up one (to the tenth fret). If you're playing Bmaj on the...

Re: Dave Dobbyn - Language

Yeah, I noticed that when I posted. Tried to edit and repost but...........yeah, bah, lol, the formatting on here just sux. Didn't think of the embedding idea, will have to do that if I ever post another tab on here. But I pretty much just copied/pasted from the document I made for person use. Put i...

Dave Dobbyn - Language

Couldn't find this song yesterday on the net. Well, I found a couple of sort-of versions but they were shit, lol. So I had a listen to the song and came up with something that sounds pretty damn close. Not a proper tab, but this is what I printed out to follow along with last night when I played it,...

Re: Wanting To Make Music!

Hey yeah, I saw .........shit, can't remember where it was now, lol, but I saw *somewhere* a few weeks back you that guys were looking for someone, checked out your website and all that. Didn't bother asking about it as you're in Rotorua etc. I'd be willing to try and work around that (assuming of c...

Re: Wanting To Make Music!

Yay, a reply! Lol Been playing for around 16 1/2 years. Not a Hendrix on the guitar, but reckon I'm pretty decent. Basically play just anything that I reckon translates well to solo acoustic, cause that's pretty much all I've been concentrating on for the last few years. But really wanting to do som...

Wanting To Make Music!

I live in the Waikato, near Hamilton (Morrinsville to be precise). I'm an acoustic guitarist/vocalist, but have recently acquired a decent electric kitout and I'm really wanting to get some band work. I ultimately want to start doing my own songs, maybe a bit of recording. But for now I just want to...

Re: HAMILTON - Guitarist/Singer Wanted - Acoustic Duo

Heya Would be very interested in giving this a go, was looking at trying it myself. No professional or band experience of any sort - about 16yrs of 'bedroom audience' experience, lol. Tend to lean toward the more obscure songs that no-one's heard of, but generally the same sort of sound as the stuff...
