Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
Hey, ignore the two on the left as they're home made but the others are a 14 R9 in Sunrise Teaburst which looks more like honey burst in person and the far right is a 92 Classic Plus which is my first Gibson and I got it from Ian Morris from the Dudes so its a bit of a special one for me. I really like vintage white finishes. But yeah, it is an eye-watering price.

Re: Eastman D'Ambrosio Series
For some reason I can’t open that link, but my El Rey Eastman has the D’Ambrosio name on it. I think he has been designing guitars for Eastman for a while. I really like those new Romeo and Juliet models.

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
Had these for years, not much has changed. 2000 LP Standard in a red flame type finish I brought from someone (Danny?) on here quite a few years back, and a 2008 LP Studio Faded. The Studio currently has some EMG's fitted, 81/89 TW set with push/pull etc from memory. Haven't really decided if the o...

Re: VHNGD - '72 Strat
If I’m not wrong I think 300k are generally known to sound a bit on the dark side. Well, I either do remember reading that somewhere or I’ve made it up Higher resistance pots usually leads to brighter toans  This is true. I have a drop in set with 300k pots. It gives you the option of load...

I just love old Strats in that colour. Nice one Molly.
It was not uncommon for parts used in Fender’s assembly line to bear serial numbers from different years. So it could even be all original if they are close.

Re: Oh FFS Taylor!
Humid weather requires a trussrod tweak on my Taylor. Easy, says I; I've got plenty of hex style spanners. Nope. It's a 1/4" nut with no room to get a socket in. Bloody Americans  So where do I get a 1/4" truss rod wrench that looks like this?Truss wrench.JPG I think you borrow one ...

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
I picked up a Korg G1 afew years ago. I really like it. Good piano sounds, built in speakers that are not naff, and a really nice hammer-action keyboard. Just turn it on and play. Again, I really don't know what I'm doing with keyboards, but I really like this piano. And when I want to use it with m...

Re: Fake identification
Hi all, I have a Fender Japan strat and I have small doubts about how original it is. Has a G serial on the neck, I think plays and sounds like a .. 1987 Fender Japan but on the neck connection has too much writing and a stamp that appears like Jan 22 1990 even if the serial number indicates a 1987...

Re: Definitely a guitar thread not keyboard related
I'm not an expert, but my 2c is to separate the physical keyboard from the sound engine in your thinking. Get a decent keyboard/piano with MIDI, worry more about action and reliability than sounds. Sound engines go out of fashion, but a good keyboard will last a long time. And you can then buy all t...
