My initial thought was to build a thin plywood pick guard and embed a piezo element in the back of it. Why not just stick a piezo on the plastic guard? Simpler and should sound the same for what you're trying to achieve. Thanks Slowy, Will double side tape one on to start with anyway, just have not...

Anyone toyed with or executed a bass guitar pickguard pickup to capture any scratching on the pickguard? The goal is to provide some backbeat type noise. Thanks for the comparison, amps sounds way cleaner and clearer to me, but maybe the eq was setup different. The American pedal has long been on my list and is a good one to have as a gig backup and clean practice amp for DI when everyone is sleeping imho. They maybe cheap but I think they are good v...

Nice to see you around mate, been busy? Not as productive as you bg with this awesome cab. I have been very busy repairing our caravan for the last 5 mths, some major renovation and repairs which Is still in progress. Currently bandless atm as Vermeer finished after 10yrs with drummer leaving Aucks...
