My initial thought was to build a thin plywood pick guard and embed a piezo element in the back of it. Why not just stick a piezo on the plastic guard? Anyone toyed with or executed a bass guitar pickguard pickup to capture any scratching on the pickguard? The goal is to provide some backbeat type noise. Thanks for the comparison, amps sounds way cleaner and clearer to me, but maybe the eq was setup different. I have been very busy repairing our caravan for the last 5 mths, some major renovation and repairs which Is still in progress. Currently bandless atm as Vermeer finished after 10yrs with drummer leaving Aucks...
