that guitar will be all about the coolness when it's built and best of all, I'll get to jam on it (kloppsta's lead gat in my band...)
*gets urge to have a custom Tele made....resists....for now...*

Okay, we've officially run out of conversation topic when we start comparing our love of strings.... what next? Favourite fret? :P Screw the G. It's always the first one to come out of tune, on any guitar I've played - maybe that's just me though. I can't pick a string, but I can probably rattle on ...

Support acts for auckland were Goodshirt and Die!Die!Die!, not Pluto (unless I missed them, doh) and Franz Ferdinand are the only guys who can make tapered pants, side parts and tucked in shirts the epitome of new wave indie coolness. Best gig of the year and very authentic to the album sound. I lov...

The first amp I ever used, back when I was learning in high school was a Fender Princeton Chorus the school had, which I was able to use in my first high school band (industrial metal, all the rage in 1997) for our one and only proper gig, the school talent quest! I was playing a sorry-looking Ibane...

I get this a lot as well, and honestly, I think a lot of what needs to be taken into account is the area of the venue or location you're playing in. Chances are most of us are playing at home in bedrooms or spare rooms, square-shaped and fairly small. My guitar room is like this and when I play my J...

'57 Classics are sweet :) Like a sugar plantation =D I'm just fond of how clean and dirty they are at the same time. Middle postion of my '61 with the amp set to clean is so crystal you'd think it was a Fender Twin - it's a bloomin' JCM900! But hit that footswitch, crank the power tubes in glowsvil...

'61 Reissue SG
Yeah, so I got one one of these on the weekend, after much debate, I caved and got it the day of my current band's first gig. It was a decision I haven't regretted, despite the more than average cost. Suffice to say, to me, it's the holy messiah of all SG's. Rips Specials and Juniors to ribbons and ...

Well, I just saw a pic of the one Indie was talking about, and it's not half-bad one the eye - there are Strat and Telecaster elements in there, but I'd trust Indie's judgement on this, so if it plays well and sounds okay, it might not be as bad as Samick has been made out to be in the past. Come to...

I'm an SG man, so gotta go with the Les Paul. The jury's still out on the PRS's for me - they look nice, but too many bands I dislike use them and they kinda seem like the 'in' guitar for too many commercial sell-outs. Still, I'm told they play well and sound great, so I may have to have a test next...
