Re: Styles you haven't done, but would like to
I want to invent pirate metal. You're not my old flatmate Alex are you? He was going to start a band and he didn't have much in the way of songs but they were going to dress like pirates. It was a simple, but completely crap plan for world domination. What would I like to do..? I'd love to get into...

Re: WGTN: Guitarist Wanted. Creative, etc.
Improvisation is not a commodity, it’s not available for tourists to truly understand, you must not look at jam bands as something you can’t be, as it is and always will be free. My problem lies within the need to commoditize improvisation and make it safe for lame ass office workers Grab the seeds...

WGTN: Guitarist Wanted. Creative, etc.
Hi, I play bass and would like to form an originals band with a creative, original guitarist. Someone that would be eclectic (ie into various styles) and open to new ideas. Ideally, I'd like the sort of band where the structure for the songs is loose. Not in the sense that it's a jam band, but more ...

Re: What Bass for a beginner
I'm always reluctant to recommend a short scale bass or guitar. It seems like a good idea, but in practice doesn't seem to work out as well as it should... Plenty of kids and small handed individuals seems to do just fine on a full scale bass. It also significantly widens the range of instruments t...
