1. maple 2. rosewood. Second one sounded a little softer to me, whereas first seemed to have a bit more attack

urgh - I don't think I can answer this question. The other guitars would gang up and do me in before I got out the door with the chosen one. Maybe my acoustic if pushed, for the same reason as Adrian - it's the first one I built

lube your nut sunshine. Nah seriously, its highly unlikely 9 genuine sets are faulty, I'd start looking elsewhere and a sticky nut slot would be the first place I'd start.

Hey Kloppsta, I've got a Rockit Superlead 75, 2 channel (I only use the clean) 6L6 all tube combo with partially functioning reverb and 15" EV speaker: combo purchased from Scarecrow. Tested by Clarry at 50 Watts clean, 79 Watts dirty. It. Is. Loud. Good clean platform for 6L6 friendly pedals ...
