Re: Old Ozzy interview with GW

Wtf is with the post edit?? Apologies Ed. For the record, the first two songs I ever learnt the riffs for on guitar were N.I.B and Paranoid. LOL Blues? Nah not really Ed. I pick and choose, I like old black guys from a mississippi swamp playinng 13 1/2 bar blues on a 5 string guitar, I'm not that f...

Re: Old Ozzy interview with GW

I was kinda into Black Sabbath and Ozzy when I was 14. Then I grew up.

Dumb riffs worked round a stupid satanic gimmick that just make me want to cringe.

Re: If you could only keep one of your guitars...

urgh - I don't think I can answer this question. The other guitars would gang up and do me in before I got out the door with the chosen one. Maybe my acoustic if pushed, for the same reason as Adrian - it's the first one I built

Re: The Black River Drive thread.

Today we confirmed Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, Cure, Tears for Fears) to mix our album. http://www.timpalmer.com Be careful and make sure you know what you're getting into Sam. Using a name producer/tech is a bloody expensive business and another way for whatever label/management company you're with...

lube your nut sunshine. Nah seriously, its highly unlikely 9 genuine sets are faulty, I'd start looking elsewhere and a sticky nut slot would be the first place I'd start.

Re: Concept albums

oh and Berlin by Lou Reed is one that really works for me as a complete story/song cycle.

Ferking depressing too. Like a really dark film. "They're taking her children away because she was not a good mother" to the chorus of babies crying is defintely a moment.

Re: combo tips

Hey Kloppsta, I've got a Rockit Superlead 75, 2 channel (I only use the clean) 6L6 all tube combo with partially functioning reverb and 15" EV speaker: combo purchased from Scarecrow. Tested by Clarry at 50 Watts clean, 79 Watts dirty. It. Is. Loud. Good clean platform for 6L6 friendly pedals ...
