Fernandes Monterey

Hey if anyone is interested in one of these guitars, I've located one in a 2nd hand shop. It has a Fernandes sustainer pickup in the neck position and they're selling it for $599. (no affiliation with the seller, it's not my bag, but I'm sure it's someone elses).

PM me if you're interested.

Best thing I ever found for slowing down the music was a drummer I worked with who had a fondness for the ole electric puha! :-)

Sgt, if the amp is his, he should be able to provide the serial number to you.
Obviously this will confirm that you are both talking about the same amp. If not, it's a whole new ball game.

They're solid-state bass amps. God I remember almost every bass player having a Rockit 300 head in the early to mid eighties. I've had one of these combos too, and from memory it was OK.

Dave's still around.
I bumped into him at Foodtown in Birkenhead last week. I was looking for turnips. He wasn't.
We had a bit of a chat, he's still playing too.

My understanding is that the fotoflame bass bodies are the foto on a basswood cap and an alder body. It looks as though he's just pulled the description off a website. Those aren't spiral saddles on the bridge, and I doubt they are US pickups.

I find this mildly disturbing. I want one of each!

I'm also primarily a bass player. I have to say I prefer bass over guitar playing live, but at home you'll find me with a guitar in hand. Bass by itself can be a bit boring, but htere's nothing like playing bass & locking in with a good band!
