I'm probably going to get a hard time for dissing BC Rich and flying V's when I have one of these:

Re: help !!!! trying to buy a electric gat for my 11 year ol
I have daughters aged 14 and 11 and they can both play my full size guitars, so I'd say don't even think about a 3/4 size. It's important to THEM what the guitar looks like, so get them involved in the selection process (obviously steer them away from BC Rich, flying V's, etc. LOL). I set up a nice ...

Re: Help please - amp valve replacement
Can I just end this thread with a big thanks and glowing testimonial for Ryan, who had the amp back running sweetly that afternoon. It was like watching a mad scientist at work with his oscilloscope and meters and things, tapping away at his calculator to work out tube resistances, or whatever it wa...

Re: Help please - amp valve replacement
Cheers Ryan, I didn't think of you. I've bought stuff off you before... and actually while I'm there I could have a look at the Catalinbread Semaphore Tremolo... what time would suit you?

Help please - amp valve replacement
I'm pretty sure one of the power tubes in my Fender Blues Jr has gone, but my electrical DIY ability is limited to changing lightbulbs (at a stretch). So where in Auckland can I get someone to look at and replace the valve(s) that will do a quick job? Thanks, Conway

Re: irig----->amp?
I've had it work just fine with plenty of volume direct from an iPad. Use speaker option rather than headphone option, turn up the physical volume switch to max on the iPad or iPhone and adjust levels under the settings button.

I'm also having a little debate with myself over whether I should order a Pedaltrain 2 or Pedaltrain Jnr off Trademe. The PT Jnr will fit me current needs, but only just... (with a probably setup of a Korg Pitchblack -> Boss BD-2 -> Catalinbread DLS or Fulltone OCD -> Electro Harmonix Metal Muff ->...

Re: What are you gassing for?
All the EHX polychorus pedals listed on ebay right now are the old 24v model. I presume the new 9v model will still sound pretty much the same???

Re: What are you gassing for?
Hi there, been reading the board for a while, but that pic of the new EHX PolyChorus has dragged me out of lurking. Are these available in NZ yet? Price? I'm looking for a chorus and flanger pedal to replace my Marshall Regenerator (which is a bit too subtle in its output for my liking, esp. the cho...
