Re: Shred-O-Caster Finished!

I wanted to be able to see all of the wiring- kind of neat, but I see where you are coming from. Pole pieces and rails mix don't bother me....

Re: Shred-O-Caster WIRING QUESTION

Another parcel turned up today. Clear pickguard looks pretty good. Have clear coated it and it has dried a little yellow. Not too worried, goes with the g.old.

Re: Shred-O-Caster WIRING QUESTION

I would never claim this to be a Fender at all- I think I would prefer it to be a mix of great replacement and upgraded parts.

I think you could only claim it with serial numbers and or coming from a Fender factory.

Re: Shred-O-Caster WIRING QUESTION

I probably would have gone with chrome hardware myself but well see how it turns out, and direct mounted pickups... But hey I'm a suhr fanboy so yeah. Maybe one day in ten years I'll actually own one :P Was going to put gold and copper in the paint instead of black but the metalics don't like to be...

Na, I'm not keen on the dodgy stuff. It was on the neck when I bought it.
I found it on trademe. was screwed to a body but has never been strung. Would say previous owner did it.

Re: Wiring in 3 Humbuckers

Heya, yea I'm after a pull pot to get the single sound as well.
I have the conversion table from SD to DM here: http://tclutherie.hypermart.net/wiring/index.html

Very handy to have on hand.
